When toxic algal blooms threatened a well-known lake, an environmental nonprofit consulted us for content that would garner community support and influence the state legislature to act against pollution.
We established a news center, newsletter and social presence to create awareness and a robust resource library for community education. We also worked with the nonprofit to launch petitions that ultimately helped spur legislative change.
Today, the long-polluted lake is on the road to recovery, the local economy has rebounded, and the state annually directs funds toward ongoing water quality initiatives.
